Dr. med. vet. Julia Vietmeier: Meet Our Expert
Since 2024, veterinarian Dr. Julia Vietmeier and her Vizsla bitch Smilla have been enriching our HUNTER pack. Julia not only supports our product development with her expertise — above all, she provides fellow animal lovers and their companions with expert advice and heartfelt dedication in our magazine.
Julia is a veterinarian through and through: after completing her veterinary studies and earning her doctorate at the University of Veterinary Medicine Hannover, she worked for several years at a renowned equine clinic. She then went on to complete further training as a veterinary chiropractor for horses and dogs before fulfilling her dream of opening her own practice in 2008. But that was not all — in 2009, she passed her examination as a certified specialist veterinarian for chiropractic care before the Austrian Chamber of Veterinary Surgeons.
Specialist in Chiropractic Care and Acupuncture
Originally, Julia also specialized in treating horses at her practice. However, since 2024, the certified specialist veterinarian for chiropractic care and acupuncture has focused exclusively on dogs. In her daily practice, she supports dogs with orthopedic or biomechanical issues affecting the spine and musculoskeletal system:
“For me, there is no more fascinating topic than the biomechanics of our four-legged friends and the problems and limitations that come with it. Through targeted treatment of the musculoskeletal system, good advice, and the right equipment, so many dogs can be helped — without always having to resort to medication.”
For Dr. Julia Vietmeier, it is particularly important to develop a holistic and individualized treatment approach for each affected dog. In doing so, she also takes into account the everyday challenges that owners and their dogs have to overcome together.
